Terms of Service
The closed alpha
Idle Guilds is in active development. Features change, break, and disappear. Occasional progress resets are possible as systems change; if a wipe is coming, we warn the community on Discord first. Access to the closed alpha may be limited, paused, or ended at any time.
Server authority and fair play
The game server is the sole authority over game state. We may correct or roll back any state affected by bugs, exploits, or cheating. Cheating, botting, automation of play, or abuse of other players can lead to enforcement up to account termination — the same server-authoritative, no-pay-to-win rules the game is built on.
Virtual items
Gold, items, and all other in-game things have no real-world monetary value, are not your property, and may not be bought, sold, or transferred outside the game.
Your account
Keep your credentials secure — you're responsible for activity on your account. Erasure of your account and data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Age and access
You must be at least 18 years old to use the closed alpha. Access is personal, invitation-only, and may not be transferred or shared. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
Chat and player conduct
Global, guild, and direct messages are player content stored on our servers. Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted. We may review messages after a player report or a bounded high-risk safety signal and may take proportionate action to protect players and the service.
Do not use chat to harass or unlawfully threaten others; promote unlawful hatred or self-harm; share another person's private information; scam, phish, or solicit credentials; buy or sell accounts, gold, or items for real money; solicit cheats or exploits; spam; evade enforcement; or knowingly abuse the reporting process. Code, SQL, HTML, security discussion, or other technical text is not prohibited merely because of its form.
Moderation, reports, and appeals
Local automated rules may refuse high-confidence prohibited content or create a signal for human review. A signal alone does not mute, suspend, or ban an account. A human moderator decides account-affecting action. Depending on severity and history, action can include a warning, message refusal, temporary mute, suspension, or account termination.
We provide a reason when we take account-affecting moderation action. Report prohibited or potentially illegal content, appeal a decision, or raise an urgent safety concern privately and without charge at hello@idleguilds.com. Include enough context for us to identify the message, but do not resend sensitive content unless necessary. We will consider the relevant message, report, context, and stated reason, and reverse or narrow action when the evidence does not support it.
No warranty
The closed alpha is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law
Idle Guilds is operated from the Netherlands, and these terms are governed by Dutch law. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
